Bill Stetler announced last night that he is resigning July 31. Stetler was named Northwest superintendent in 2008 and led the effort to pass a 1 percent earned income tax in 2010 after 10 failures in five years at the ballot.
From the district press release:
''I came to Northwest at a trying time for the district and the community,'' Stetler said. ''Thanks to the hard work of our Board, administrators and staff, the district is now financially stable with a solid strategic plan in place to move it forward. This is the right time to change leadership.''
