Do you work in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) profession? Do you happen to like working with energetic, creative students? Then we need your help! We are looking for professionals that work in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) field for our STEM Speaker Series.
We'd like to invite you to participate in our STEM Speaker Series at the National Inventors Hall of Fame® School … Center for STEM Learning. This series features real life professionals that work in a STEM field.
Our STEM Speaker Series helps our students re-discover their interests, talents, abilities and the different ways these STEM capabilities can be used in the classroom and beyond. It also equips students to form a realistic picture of various academic and career opportunities.
All we need from you is a few hours of your time.
We invite speakers to teach our students about different STEM careers or experiences by presenting to our learners, in four, half hour sessions, from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. in one fun-filled afternoon. Since one of the goals at the NIHF-STEM School is to inspire students to be creative and inventive thinkers, please also feel free to make your presentations interactive and to involve the students if at all possible.
If you are interested in this opportunity, or know someone that may be, please email our guidance counselor, Dreama Mason Whitfield at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact her via phone at (330) 761-3195.
We are currently accepting speakers for our 2011-2012 school year and below are the dates of the speaker series. Also, please pass this email along if you know others that may be interested as well. We truly appreciate the support!
