Back From the Road
Friday morning I headed to Chicago for the Midwest Modern Language Association conference. Took part in a panel on Melville and Terror this morning, then drove back. I was not online during my absence, not least because the hotel was charging $15 for an Internet connection. Did see some interesting sights, including an enormous line of people, standing in the cold on a Saturday morning, to audition for "America's Got Talent." Stories to tell, probably Sunday.
