The official word: The Cleveland International Film Festival is thrilled to announce that in celebration of our 35th anniversary, and for the first time in our history, we will lease all eleven theaters at Tower City Cinemas. The Festival is taking this necessary step to accommodate the growing number of ticket holders during the eleven-day event, and to further increase the significant economic impact on downtown Cleveland.
In 2010 the 34th CIFF saw more than 71,500 admissions and the Festival hopes to provide ticket holders with more opportunities to catch their films of choice this year with the added theaters. Since 2003, the CIFF has experienced a104% increase in attendance (from 39,388 in 2003 to 71,554 in 2010), a 150% increase in membership (from 431 in 2003 to 1,004 in 2010), and a 101% increase in the “Call For Entries” film submissions (from 953 in 2003 to 1,723 in 2010).
The 35th Cleveland International Film Festival will be held March 24 – April 3, 2011
at Tower City Cinemas in Tower City Center. Program Guides will be available throughout the region the week of February 28th. Tickets will go on sale to CIFF members on Friday, March 4th and to non-members on Friday, March 11th. For more information, visit www.clevelandfilm.org or call 216.623.3456
