Toni Braxton will dance no more. Notes on the night, after the jump.
Live notes, joining a little ways in: Well, the results are being typically stretched but this is what we know so far: Warren Sapp and Cloris Leachman are safe. Yes, Cloris. The woman whose philosophy appears to be, "Why dance when you can walk instead?" Potentially a very bad sign for Lance Bass, who fell on his rhymes-with-bass last night and had the same score as Cloris. But just a bad sign generally, since Cloris is the clearly the worst of the remaining lot -- so anyone who goes home was better. And her blatant grabbing of screen time during the kid dancers' interview segment was the height of selfishiness.
The big "dance through the decades" number didn't do much for me -- seemed mostly acrobatic and its nods to the past merely derivative. For context, here's the great Nicholas Brothers, who inspired the opening segment:
Cody is also safe. And Maurice. And Brooke. Toni B is in the bottom two. Lance is safe! Putting Susan as the other star in the bottom two.
And Toni B is out. Can't say she was all that good. But better than Cloris.
