"Fight Club" Back on Big Screen Sunday; More Cinemark Classics Showings Announced

By Rich Heldenfels Published: September 19, 2013

I was going to question the inclusion of  "The Matrix" in a classics package -- and you may yet do so on qualitative grounds -- but then noticed that it's 14 years old!

The official word: Cinemark Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CNK), one of the world’s largest motion picture exhibitors is pleased to announce the next film in our “Classics Series” will be the 1999 drama Fight Club starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. This digitally restored movie will be scheduled to play Sunday, September 22 at 2:00pm, followed by two separate show times of 2pm and 7pm on Wednesday, September 25.

Cinemark also announces the next six films in the Classic Films Series will commence on October 13 with Bonnie and Clyde. The remaining films will be The Matrix, The Shining, Dirty Harry, Risky Business, and JFK. Individual tickets for Cinemark’s Classics Series are now available at www.cinemark.com or at the participating theatre box office. A bundled ticket option for the October and November films will also be available for $30 for all six movies. For a full list of participating Cinemark locations, advance ticket purchases and show time information go to the Cinemark web site.
