"Glee" may be making tons of money for Fox, not only from ads but from all those ancillary sales of iTunes songs, CDs, DVDs and what-not. But creatively it has been way off its game, and last night's episode was a muddled, message-missing mess. Maybe the worst episode ever (and that's without counting the misguided Will-sings-"One Bourbon," a song he is not suited for).
I'm losing patience and other viewers may have already lost theirs. Says CBS:
NCIS was Tuesday's #1 program in viewers and adults 18-49, topping a first-run "Glee." . . . NCIS was first in households (12.3/19), viewers (21.28m), adults 25-54 (6.2/16) and adults 18-49 (4.4/13). NCIS beat a first-run "Glee" for the first time this season in adults 18-49. Compared to last week, NCIS was up +5% in households (from 11.7/19), +19% in adults 25-54 (from 5.2/14), +22% in adults 18-49 (from 3.6/10) and added +1.88m viewers (from 19.40m, +10%). NCIS posted 20-million-plus viewers for fifth time over the last six first-run episodes.
