Kevin Costner and Band To Play Kent Stage on June 22

Costner has already been in Northeast Ohio to shoot scenes for the movie "Draft Day" and will be around some more in June. The official word on the music gig:

The Kent Stage is proud to present country rock band, Kevin Costner & Modern West on Sat. June 22 at 8pm. The concert will coincide with the filming of Draft Day in various locations in Northeast Ohio. Costner stars in Draft Day as a fictional GM of the Cleveland Browns. The concert is a fundraiser for The Kent Stage. Tickets will go on sale Friday at 11 am exclusively at and 877-987-6487.

(Tickets, according to the Kent Stage website, start at $50 for SRO and peak at $150, which includes a meet-and-greet.)

In addition to Costner, Modern West is comprised of John Coinman on guitar and vocals,Teddy Morgan on lead guitar, Larry Cobb on drums, Park Chisolm on vocals and guitar, Blair Forward on bass, and a fiddle player, to be announced.

Since 2005, Kevin Costner & Modern West have toured extensively in the US, Canada, and Europe. They record on Universal-South Records and recently released The Angeles Came Down. Costner recently won a Golden Globe for the mini-series Hatfields & McCoys which featured the music of Kevin Costner & Modern West. Visit for more information.
