Kiev's Top Rap Artist
Spent a semi-restful day, necessary after six straight on the job. But the Thanksgiving food shopping is done, caught a little football and settled in tonight with the bride and ''The Amazing Race.'' Sure seems to be turning into a two-team fight, Models vs. Blondes. Not exactly Ohio State-Michigan, but what is?
Astonishing that the Cho brothers continued to team with Alabama; stunning, too, that Alabama complained so much about the Chos while perfectly willing to tailgate for extended periods. And the Chos' basic goodness finally bit them -- as they were eliminated.
But the high point of the show may have been the judging by Kiev's top rap artist. That's such a key not only to the ''Race,'' which lets us peek into other corners of the world, but also demonstrates how global American pop culture can be. Remember how well known Rob and Amber were around the world? I was mildly curious to hear Kiev's top rap artist, though not overly so. Still, it couldn't have been any worse than the Racers' raps, could it?
Or maybe there were too many Ukrainian equivalents of the f-word.
