Lots of stuff in the print Beacon Journal and online today, including:
-- My review of "The Hobbit" and a companion piece trying to explain HFR and all the different ways you can see the movie. And, one thing I neglected to mention in all that tech talk: Peter Jackson beat the frequent 3D problem of too-dark images. (The 3D glasses even seem to have a lighter-tinged lens than usual,) At least as I saw it, this looked crisp and well-lit throughout.
-- Today's mailbag including Taylor Momsen's early role, a couple of series endings you may have missed, and a music question.
-- A look at this year's holiday decorations at Stan Hywet Hall which have Christmas songs as their themes.
From another source, his holiday season, keep in mind that there are still real Scrooges in the world.
The eternally humorous Golden Globe awards have announced their nominees and you can find the list here.
