After spending much of Friday writing about the horrors in Colorado, I have been focused on more domestic things over the weekend. The bride and I went to a nice wedding yesterday, and today has included church and housecleaning. Checked into Colorado coverage at times, but it remained the same mix of fear, anger and bafflement.
I did want to make note of how summer Sundays are turning into big viewing nights. The bride is big on "Army Wives." We both keep tabs on "Longmire," although that often gets DVR'ed for another day. And, I forgot when I was writing this earlier, we're "Leverage" fans. didn't care for the premiere of "Political Animals" and want to give it a second chance. "Breaking Bad" is upon us. I am much disenchanted with "The Newsroom" but will keep watching it in case by some miracle it finds its footing.(Then again, that may wait until next season.) And there are things I missed the first time around; I am slowly going through my old review copies of "Girls" and will have some things to say later,
No DVD/Blu-ray column today, again because I was working on Colorado info instead. But I will try by Tuesday to post about some of the new items, including the "Star Trek: TNG" Blu-ray, "Footnote" and "Deep Blue Sea" (both of which I saw during their theatrical runs) and "Jiro Dreams of Sushi," among other things.
