Some links for your amusement --
This week's malbag is here.
My review of "Men in Black 3" is here. This was a hard one to write because I was so in the middle about the movie. In retrospect, I might have liked it more if there hadn't been two moviies before it. But the melancholy of it was hard to ignore, and I ended up neither hating it nor liking it much.
My review of "Hatfields & McCoys" will be in the print Beacon Journal on Sunday but is online now. You can read it here. I managed to watch the whole thing, and wasn't miserable about it, but still had lots of moments when I thought it could have been shorter. On the other hand, Tom Berenger and Jena Malone both give excellent performances in supporting roles, with an emotional energy that is sometimes missing from the production as a whole.
As I just said on Twitter, I was going to write long post about TBS's "Men at Work"(which premieres tonight) but it doesn't deserve one. Bad show reusing ideas from better series. You're warned.
And here's an interesting conftemplation of why the latest "American Idol" results are bad for more reasons than just the white-guys domination..
