This week's video column is here and includes looks at the director's cut of the musical "Little Shop of Horrors" as well as the Blu-ray of "E.T.," which corrects a mistake Steven Spielberg made.
I looked at, and like, the new series "Arrow." Column is here. The air time for the show is incorrect; it will be at 8 p.m., not 9 p.m. My mistake, and my apologies.
In today's Beacon Journal, but not yet where I can find it online, is a long piece about political movies. Stephanie Warsmith and I chatted with two Ohio political consultants about their picks and pans, as well as some of our own. I will post a link sometime later when I find it.
Another sports weekend, with an excellent win by the University of Akron men's soccer team on Friday and a terrible loss by the UA football team on Saturday. The football team has had some losses before this, but the second half of Saturday's game was the first time this season that I have seen the team so listless. New coach Terry Bowden had seemingly brought some real fire to the squad, but after a good first half the team just seemed burnt out.
Still following new and returning fall shows. A few notes: Have gotten very hooked on "Revolution" and will be with it for some time. Gave "Made in Jersey" a second chance and will not be back. "30 Rock" had a so-so return (albeit one with lines I kept thinking I should write down for posting somewhere), and "Big Bang Theory" is not on the top of its game at the moment. "Scandal" is insane, but I keep watching.
