I offer the video above as a Memorial Day reminder of sorts. It has, after all, been our people in uniform who have taken care of our own through good times and bad, and sometimes sacrificed their own lives for ours. And we need to remember to honor those folks when they are fortunate enough to get back among us, and to remember to care for the families of the fallen, and not let them feel neglect and sorrow.
A look at two new TV-movies, "Behind the Candelabra" and "Ring of Fire," is here. "Candelabra" is the much-discussed movie about Liberace, with Michael Douglas and Matt Damon. Less known, but also often impressive, is "Ring ot Fire," with Jewel as June Carter Cash.
In today's Beacon Journal is my weekly video column, much of which is about "Rolling Thunder," a William Devane-Tommy Lee Jones movie from the '70s, now coming to Blu-ray and worth your attention. Good extras, too.
In the print editions, but not yet where I can find it online, is a column about the return of "Arrested Development," with new episodes on Netflix today, and why this is important.
