Several things to link in today's Beacon Journal. The mailbag deals with the deep question (asked by a reader) of why Chinese food is the takeout of choice on many TV shows. I also have reviews of "Safe Haven," an acting bland-off between Julianne Hough and Josh Duhamel, and "A Good Day to Die Hard," which isn't good by most standards but meets the most basic needs of a "Die Hard" fan.
