Music Losses: Donna Summer, Chuck Brown
TMZ is reporting that Donna Summer has died. I was not a fan of her early work but came to enjoy "Bad Girls," "Hot Stuff" and "She Works Hard for the Money." My fave is "Hot Stuff," which you can give a listen here:
Chuck Brown was known as "the godfather of go-go," which you can read more about here. I first remember hearing via E.U.'s "Da Butt," below, on the soundtrack of Spike Lee's "School Daze."
