My expanding social media empire

By Rich Heldenfels Published: June 27, 2014

If you are on Tumblr, I now have a page there, at the moment called Rich Heldenfels' Tumblr. You can imagine how long it took me to think that up. Some of the content will overlap with this blog or my Facebook page. Some will be unique to it. For instance, I posted a vintage Bobby Womack song there earlier tonight, in honor of the singer-songwriter, who has passed away.

Also, on Facebook, in addition to my profile, there is now a page: Rich Heldenfels, Pop Culture Guy. My profile includes a lot of personal information; the page will be more of a professional roundup of pop culture items by me and others. Again, some content will overlap with my other operations, and some will be unique to it. Right now, for one thing, it contains a link to an NPR piece about Julia Keller, an award-winning journalist turned mystery writer; you may also know her as a former TV crtiic for the Columbus Dispatch.

The print Beacon Journal,, this blog, Facebook, Tumblr and Twitter may seem like a lot of places to be posting information. And sometimes it will feel that way. (I used to have a second blog and stopped posting to it years ago.) But I am trying to go where the readers are. Tag along where it suits you.
