Podcast: Discussing 'Fargo,' anthology shows, a 'Simpsons' marathon and more

By Dan Kadar Published: July 28, 2014

This week on the Akron Beacon Journal and Ohio.com podcast, pop culture writer Rich Heldenfels analyzes various topics. Among them are the second season of Fargo, which will be set in the 1970s. It's not the only show distinctly changing direction, with Better Call Saul and True Detective deviating from their source material. Rich also contrasts being a movie actor versus a TV actor.

Later in the show, Rich talks The Simpsons and the show's upcoming 10-day marathon on FXX starting Aug. 21. All 552 episodes of the classic Fox animated series will air. What is your favorite episode? Rich is partial to "Mr. Plow." We close discussing NCIS, one of the most popular shows on TV, despite it not being critically acclaimed.
