Happy Easter! Fred and Judy mark the day. We did so in church this morning, where there was a lot of joyful noise. Amazing how much louder all the hymns get when the Easter crowd is there.
Speaking of church, "Heaven Is For Real" with Connor Corum of Macedonia, Ohio, has done very well at the box office, ranking third in total revenues behind "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "Rio 2" -- but taking in more money per screen than either of those films, according to Deadline.com and Box Office Mojo. It has also taken in more revenues than the locally connected "Draft Day," even though "Draft Day" opened days earlier. "Heaven" is proving to be a faith-based movie that was good enough to reach audiences beyond the core supporting most faith movies.
Rubin "Hurricane" Carter has died. He was famous not only for his legal drama and wrongful imprisonment but as the subject of a Bob Dylan song and of a movie with Denzel Washington playing Carter. Both the song and movie are worth your attention.
