Time Warner Cable Airing Breast Cancer Special

The official word: Time Warner Cable's Northeast Ohio Network (NEON) will air a 1-hour documentary to help recognize National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. (A preview can be found at http://cot.ag/dz7aya)

The show takes a journey along the 2010 Susan G. Komen 3-Day For the Cure held in Northeast Ohio. Featuring event highlights like the Opening Ceremony and action along the 60-mile walk, viewers will also have the chance to meet participants, including Lee and Kathy Giller, Akron, and Ed and Tara Doehne, Elyria.

“The Komen 3-Day For the Cure is truly a special event that impacts millions of people in a positive way,” said Bill Jasso, Vice President of Communications, Time Warner Cable Northeast Ohio/Western Pennsylvania. “We hope to educate, entertain and inspire our viewers with this 1-hour special.”

The documentary will air throughout October, Tuesday – Thursday at 9 p.m., on NEON channel 23, available exclusively to Time Warner Cable customers. More information at www.twcneon.com.

In addition to the documentary, Time Warner Cable has teamed up with various programmers to create a category called “Pink Ribbon” on Movies On Demand channel 500 (16 movies, $1.99 each) and Entertainment On Demand channel 402 (free content). Both channels will air relative programming through November 1. Warner Bros. Digital Distribution will donate 15 cents from every movie purchased on Movies On Demand to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the global leader of the breast cancer movement, has invested nearly $1.5 billion since its inception in 1982.
