In case you have missed mentions of it, "General Hospital" moves to 2 p.m. Eastern time today. That opens up the 3 p.m. hour for ABC-owned stations and ABC affiliates to carry Katie Couric's new talk show at that time, including on WEWS (Channel 5). And that is just one of a bundle of daytime changes as several other new talk shows also debut; Locally, WJW (Channel 8) today kicks off shows hosted by Jeff Probst at 1 p.m. and Ricki Lake at 3 p.m., with Steve Harvey's show -- which premiered last week -- in between,
Also tonight, "The Voice" begins a new season on NBC -- locally on WKYC (Channel 3); with a large audience expected for its premiere, the show's two-hour telecast will be followed by previews of "The New Normal," which I do not much like, at 10 p..m. and "Go On," whose pilot I enjoyed, at 10:30.
As you know from my fall-preview package in Sunday's Beacon Journal, with links posted below, my favorite new network series is "Last Resort." And you can now see the pilot online here.
As for ongoing shows, my DVR is set for "Alphas," "Major Crimes" and "Warehouse 13."
