Weekend Notebook
Busy days and nights. Working a metro shift today. Went with the bride to the Akron-Kent State basketball game last night. (Akron won, but it was a struggle.) Christmas decorations are down and packed up. Thesis research has resumed.
I have some thoughts about Showtime's lineup in my latest video, posted below. I have a column about "The Cape," premiering tonight on NBC, in the print Beacon Journal today; will post a link when I find one. Saturday's Beacon Journal also includes a print HeldenFiles with an update about the Time Traveler music store (still open a year after it announced its was closing) and other items; still looking for a link on that, too.
Some links to other recent items in the Beacon Journal and online which you may have missed:
This week's DVD column, with "The Social Network,"
"Hot in Cleveland," "Top Shot," more.
Had a great talk with Phylicia Rashad, who was in a Fox movie that aired last night. The conversation ranged far beyond the movie, so give it a look.
A chat with "DWTS" Mark Ballas making music in Akron tonight and Cleveland on Tuesday.
This week's mailbag is here. It includes some notes about references I use when researching reader questions.
