Brad Stillings named National Player of the Week, Baseball returns to national rankings
Collegiate Baseball Newspaper named Kent State junior pitcher Brad Stillings one of five national players of the week on Monday. On Friday Stillings became the 9th pitcher (10th time overall) in school history to throw a no hitter in a victory at Toledo. Stillings was also named MAC East Pitcher of the Week and Kent State Athlete of the Week. Kent State also got back into the national ranking picture according to the newspaper, with 441 points, ranking 24th in the nation.
Kent State will host Youngstown State at 3P.M. on Tuesday afternoon. Then they will travel to Ohio State to play the Buckeyes on Wednesday evening at 6:30P.M. The Golden Flashes will return home this weekend to host Bowling Green.
