Chargers draft first MAC player
In one of the more surprising moves of the young NFL Draft, the San Diego Chargers just took Northern Illinois outside linebacker Larry English with the 16th overall pick.
ESPN's Mel Kiper listed English as the top available outside linebacker at the time of the pick, but Kiper did not initially have English listed as a first round pick.
English is the first MAC player drafted in the 2009 NFL Draft.
