Kent State Flashes
Evans' 22 points leads KSU to victory over Miami
Shrugging off a sprained right ankle, senior guard Chris Evans had game highs in points (22) and rebounds for his fifth career double-double to lead the Godlen Flashes to an 87-70 victory over visiting Miami Wednesday at the M.A.C. Center.
Evans played so well on offense and defense, KSU coach Rob Senderoff joked he should "kick him in the ankle Friday so he plays this well on Saturday” and his teammates told him he should play hurt more often.
In addition to Evans, guards Kris Brewer and Randal Holt chipped in 13 points a piece, center Mark Henniger matched his career-high with 11 points and forward Bryson Pope contributed 10 points.
Up next for the Flashes is a rematch at Ohio Saturday.
