Evans Honored by MAC for the third time already this season
Just nine games into the basketball season, senior forward Chris Evans was once again named the Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week - his third honor in four week since the 2012-13 season began on Nov. 9.
The 6-foot-8 Evans led the Golden Flashes to an overtime win at Youngstown State while racking up a career-high 24 points and 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season.
In a loss to Princeton Saturday night, Evans contributed another 18 points and eight rebounds in a loss, averaging 21 points, 9 rebounds and 2.5 steals in the two games.
On the season, he leads Kent State in points (18.1 ppg), rebounds (7.6 rpg), assists (2.0 apg), steals (2.5 spg) blocked shots (0.8 bpg) and field goal percentage (54.9%).
