Former KSU standout Mike Porrini joins former Flashes teammate Chris Evans on Greek pro team

Former KSU point guard and Massillon native Michael Porriniwas signed by Trikalla BC of the Greek A1 basketball League last week, reuniting him with former Golden Flashes teammate and guard Chris Evans.

Ready for action by Porrini


He had his first workout with the team of Trikala BC Aries did Thursday afternoon the American guard Michael Porrini.


The newly acquired team player took the jersey with the No. 10 and will be available to the coach to an away game Saturday with AENK Dimoulas.


 In his first statements he noted: “I came to the team with the assurance that I can help myself to achieve its objectives,” Porrini said. “Definitely great weight in my decision played the presence of my teammate at Kent State, Chris Evans, who told me the best words for the team and for the city of Trikala. Last year my experience in Turkey, I will be a very well anymore and I know the European mentality. That does not raced at this year's half the league is not a problem. I worked hard everyday to be ready to play immediately when called. So I have no excuses. If my coach believes that playing Saturday, I will go and I will give it my best.”
