KSU tops host Loyola-Chicago in final BracketBusters game
Kent State completed its 11-year BracketBusters run with a 70-63 victory over host Loyola-Chicago Saturday afternoon, finishing with four players in double figures.
Senior guard Chris Evans led the way with 16 points, sophomore point guard Kris Brewer followed with 14, senior guard Randal Holt added 13 and junior forward Darren Goodson chipped in 12 points.
KSU women play well, but still fall to rival Akron
The Kent State women's basketball team played one of its best games of the season Saturday afternoon on Senior Day at the M.A.C. Center, but it still wasn't enough to earn its fourth victory of the season and knock off rival Akron.

Evans' 22 points leads KSU to victory over Miami
Shrugging off a sprained right ankle, senior guard Chris Evans had game highs in points (22) and rebounds for his fifth career double-double to lead the Godlen Flashes to an 87-70 victory over visiting Miami Wednesday at the M.A.C. Center.
