Henniger to play for state championship on STO
Good luck to Mark Henniger and the Massillon Jackson Polar Bears as they play in tonight's Division I State Championship game against tradition rich Cincinnati Moeller. The game will start at 8:30 p.m. and will be televised live on SportsTime Ohio.
Jackson beat previously undefeated Gahanna Lincoln last night to advance to tonight's championship game. Michael Beaven covered the game.
Earlier in the week Henniger was named first team all-state in Division I.

Q&A WITH GAINES - The Chicago Sun Times recently did a Q&A with Kent State basketball recruit Eric Gaines. Something tells me KSU fans are going to really be happy about Gaines' career as a Golden Flash four years from now.
"A lot of big colleges overlooked me. I want to make a name for my college instead of going to a school that already has a name. I’m not upset that I didn’t hear from big schools. My dream school was Wake Forest because of good guards and Chris Paul and Jeff Teague. But now Kent State is my dream school."

BURRISS HAS SECOND FOOT SURGERY - Former Kent State baseball star Manny Burriss recently had his second foot surgery. Burriss was drafted in the first round of the 2006 amateur draft by the San Francisco Giants.
His former program got off to a good start in conference play by beating Toledo yesterday 2-1.
