Kent State blown out in second half, loses to Temple 47-13
At the start of the second half at Temple, things looked pretty good for Kent State. After statistically dominating the first half, Kent State held a 10-9 lead. Things quickly got away from the Golden Flashes in the third quarter as Kent State got out scored 38-3 in the second half and lost 47-13 on Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia. QB Spencer Keith got injured with a seperated right shoulder injury and then Temple ripped off a 71 yard touchdown run by Matt Brown three plays later and the Owls never looked back. Keith will not play in Friday's season finale against Buffalo.
Before Keith got hurt he completed 17/29 passes in the first half to ten different receivers for 237 yards.
In the second half Temple scored off an interception return, capitalized on a KSU fumble, on a punt return and a reverse.
