Kent State Flashes
Kent State hands Nebraska its first loss in 74-60 road win
Led by a strong second half, the Golden Flashes took down Nebraska 74-60 in Lincoln in the fourth and final game of the Joe Cipriano Nebraska Classic.
Chris Evans led KSU with 19 points on 8-9 shooting, including 13 in the second half alone. He also had six rebounds.
KSU (4-2) trailed the Cornhuskers (4-1) 33-32 at halftime but outscored Nebraksa 42-27 in the final 20 minutes. The Flashes also did well to correct to recent problems in turnovers and free throws. KSU only lost the ball eight times (compared to 18 against Valparaiso) and shot 72 percent (13-18) from the stripe.
Darren Goodson scored 16 points and Randal Holt added 15.
