Kent State loses to Xavier 77-61
Kent State got off to a great start on Friday night at Xavier. The Flashes forced nine turnovers in the first 14 minutes of the first half and held a 29-17 lead. Xavier closed the first half on a 19-5 run to take a 36-34 lead going into halftime.
The Musketeers took control of the game in the second half after going on a 9-0 run.
Jordan Crawford, known for dunking on LeBron James during a summer pick up game in Akron, led XU with 21 points on five three pointers.
Senior Chris Singletary played 20 minutes in his first game back after missing two weeks with a torn meniscus. He ended the night with four points, three steals and two assists.
Senior Mike McKee scored 13 points as did sophomore Justin Greene who also added three assists and three steals to lead Kent State.
KSU is off until next Saturday when the team wraps up a four game road swing at Pittsburgh. The game is scheduled for a 2:00 pm start and will be broadcast on ESPNU.
