Kent State men play Miami on Senior night

By admin Published: February 27, 2010

It promises to be an emotional, energy filled Saturday night at the M.A.C. Center as Kent State (21-8, 11-3) hosts the Miami RedHawks (12-16, 8-6).  Prior to the game Kent State will honor its six seniors.  Frank Henry-Ala, Anthony Simpson, Tyree Evans, Brandon Parks, Mike McKee and Chris Singletary will be playing in their final home game.  In addition, Kent State will also be recognizing the 2010 Varsity "K" Hall of Fame Class, including NFL stars James Harrison and Antonio Gates.  Gates will have his No. 44 retired during an extended halftime ceremony.

Miami has lost three straight MAC games, including an excruciating loss at the buzzer on Wednesday night to Ohio on a Tommy Freeman three with 0.6 seconds left.  The RedHawks are still playing for the one bye available in the first round of the MAC tournament after Kent State and Akron clinched on Wednesday (MAC West Division champion gets the third).
