Flashes Football Preview--Week 2--At Boston College
Kent State (1-0) at Boston College (1-0)--3:30 Sept. 11--ESPNU
Breakdown on Boston College: The Eagles opened with a 38-20 win over Weber State last Saturday, but it wasn't as close as the score would suggest. That being said, the passing game wasn't up to snuff. Sophomore quarterback Dave Shinskie threw for 185 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions while completing just 50% of his passes. Shinskie only recently won the starting gig, but he did complete 9-16 passes for 76 yards, a score and a pick last season against Kent State. Shinskie says he is expecting the Flashes to bring the blitz early and often.

Around the MAC--Week 1
A lot of boiling optimism was brought to a low sizzle following the first week of the college football season, as several teams that were supposed to win did, but many faltered in what would have been a great first step to bowl eligibility and in some cases, relevancy.
Ball State, Buffalo, Central Michigan and Kent State all won against lesser teams by an average score of 33-5.

Flashes Football Week 1 Preview--Murray State
Real quickly, thank goodness football is here--my favorite sport is still probably baseball for the pure "spirit" of it (if you're a baseball purist, you know the feeling in the pit of your stomach you get every February as word of spring training rolls around), but there's just nothing better than football season as a reporter/fan of the game. The collegiate gridiron is good to us (a special thanks go out to extra sports channels on Time Warner Cable, Dish, etc. etc. and that little yellow line for first downs, which should be the only thing considered as the greatest thing since sliced bread).
Game Previews will be built up as the season grows, but with only intrasquad action in the books and Murray State playing in the FCS, week 1 will be shorter than the norm.
