Kent State offers defensive end

Kent State offered a scholarship to Middletown senior defensive end Rashad Frazier (6-6, 225) on Monday night, according to Cincinnati.com.

Frazier also has offers from Bowling Green and Miami University.

The Kent State football team is preparing to play Temple this Saturday at 1:00 p.m.  Temple features freshman running back Bernard Pierce, who has established Temple freshman records with 1, 308 yards and 15 touchdowns.  Temple also has a capable backup in Matt Brown.

The Kent State volleyball team will host Buffalo tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the first round of the MAC tournament.  Senior Jenny Keck was recently named MAC East Defensive Player of the Week.  Earlier in the season she was named MAC East Offensive Player of the Week.  Keck becomes the first player in history to be named defensive and offensive player of the week in the same season.

The Kent State baseball program recently welcomed five new players who signed in the early signing period.  Read a little more about Josh Pierce from Avon, Ohio.
