Kent State recruiting update: Flashes after Cincinnati-area RB
- Kent State has shown interest in Cincinnati College Prep Academy senior running back Orlando Johnson, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Johnson, who is 5-9 and 170 pounds, also plays cornerback. He rushed for 785 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior.
The school is a Division VI program in Cincinnati.
- Walnut Hills senior center Isaiah Johnson could visit Kent State this month, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Johnson, who is 6 feet 9, has scholarship offers that include Akron, Kent State, Xavier and Northern Kentucky University.
Johnson averaged 17.3 points, 11.6 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and 1.1 assists and was Division I honorable mention all-state last season.
- Archbishop Moeller High School junior infielder Riley Mahan will reportedly visit Kent State this fall, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Mahan has offers from UC, Kentucky and Florida International. He hit .311 with nine doubles, 29 RBI and 11 steals for Moeller, which won the Division I state title in June 10. Mahan also plans to visit Clemson and Michigan this fall.
