Kent State women offer post player

By admin Published: January 26, 2010

The Kent State women's basketball program have offered 6-0 junior post Shaniqua Ogle from Lorain Southview High School, according to Lorain City Schools Athletic Director Bryan Koury.

Ogle is currently averaging 17.8 points per game and 11.8 rebounds per game.  Last season as a sophomore Ogle averaged 16.1 ppg and 11.6 rpg.

"People see a big, strong kid and think they can't be athletic," Southview head coach Scott Plzak told the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram in November.  "She's extremely athletic.  She's an intelligent player.  She's developed an outside shot and that's just expanded her game tremendously.  She can play."

Bowling Green has also offered Ogle.

Kent State (11-7, 4-2) will host Central Michigan on Wednesday night at the M.A.C. Center.
