Kent State women take on BGSU
The Kent State women's basketball team travels to Bowling Green today to take on the Falcons. The Golden Flashes have won nine of their last 10 games, including Wednesday night's victory over Akron. A win today by the Flashes would tie Bowling Green for first place in the MAC East at 12-3 and give KSU the leg up in a tie breaker since the Flashes defeated Toledo earlier in the season, while Toledo beat Bowling Green.
It won't be easy. Bowling Green is 12-0 at home this season. That streak ranks as the 16th longest home winning streak in the NCAA. Bowling Green has defeated Kent State 12 straight times. 2009 MAC Player of the Year Lauren Prochaska is "day to day" after suffering a knee injury during Wednesday's win at Buffalo.
The game will be televised on Fox Sports Ohio at noon.
