Kitchen picked up by Browns
Former Kent State University standout Ishmaa’ily Kitchen was claimed off of waivers by the Cleveland Browns Saturday.
Kitchen, a 6-foot-1, 330-pound defensive lineman, was originally signed as a rookie free agent by the Baltimore Ravens May 10 and played in all four of the Ravens’ preseason games (recording six tackles and a sack).
The four-year lettermen for the Golden Flashes appeared in 45 games, compiling 65 tackles, 31/2 sacks and a fumble recovery.
Kitchen, a Youngstown native, is a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School.
