Kent State baseball headed to Indiana to play Kentucky in NCAA Regionals
After traveling to California and Texas the last two years for the NCAA Championship Regionals, the Kent State baseball family can finally stay closer to home after drawing the No. 3 seed in the "Gary Regional" in Indiana.
The Golden Flashes' seed was announced live on ESPNU's selection show Monday afternoon. Players, coaches, family members and fans gathered at the Water Street Tavern in downtown Kent to take in the show.

Geoff Lanier added to women's basketball staff as assistant
Kent State women’s basketball program has added a familiar face in veteran assistant Geoff Lanier, who joined new Golden Flashes' basketball coach Danielle O'Banion's staff Tuesday.
Lanier, a nine-year veteran assistant, spent the last four seasons as recruiting coordinator at Boston College. Previously, he spent four years as an assistant coach in the Mid-American Conference with stints at Akron and Ohio.

Terry agrees to free agent contract with Detroit Lions
Kent State’s Jacquise Terry recently signed a free agent contract with the Detroit Lions, becoming the fourth senior free agent from the Golden Flashes’ 2011 football squad to join an NFL team.
