It will easy to catch the Kent State football team on television next season, with the recent announcement by the Mid-American Conference that five of the Golden Flashes’ eight conference games will be aired on either SportsTime Ohio or an ESPN outlet.
The Flashes open the season Aug. 30, against Towson at 7 p.m. under the lights at Dix Stadium. They are set to begin conference play Sept. 19 at Buffalo on ESPNU.
On Sept. 29, KSU hosts Ball State at noon, a game that can be seen on an ESPN outlet.
Kick time for Kent State’s Oct. 6 game at Eastern Michigan is set for 1 p.m. Two weeks later on Oct. 20, the Flashes host Western Michigan at 3:30 p.m. during Homecoming weekend.
Kent State’s Oct. 13 game at Army begins at noon and will air on the CBS Sports Network. The Flashes’ Oct. 27 game at Rutgers kicks off at 3:30 and will be shown on either the BIG EAST Network or ESPN3.
The Flashes then host rival Akron Nov. 3 at 2 p.m., the Wagn Wheel game televised by SportsTime Ohio.
On Nov. 10, Kent State visits Miami for a 1 p.m. start. An ESPN outlet will carry the Flashes’ Nov. 17 noon game at Bowling Green.
The squad wraps up the regular season at home against Ohio on Friday, Nov. 23 with the 1 p.m. kickoff being an option of MAC games to be shown on either ESPNU or ESPN3.
A kickoff time for Kent State’s Sept. 8 game at Kentucky has yet to be announced.
