KSU names Tommy Cook its new director of football operations
Kent State named Tommy Cook director of football operations Monday.
Cook joins the Golden Flashes after serving two seasons at Kentucky as a graduate assistant and assistant director of football operations.
“We’re excited to have Tommy as our director of operations,” KSU head coach Darrell Hazell said in a release. “He comes with experience and intelligence. Tommy demonstrates thinking outside the box and will do an excellent job for us.”
As a graduate assistant at Kentucky, Cook primarily worked with the wide receivers and special teams. He was also a wide receiver for the Wildcats with 74 career receptions for 951 yards and six touchdowns.
Cook replaces longtime director of football opertions Casey Wolf, who had worked with the Golden Flashes since the Dean Pees era.
“Casey did a phenomenal job and will be missed by our staff, players and administrators,” Hazell said.
