KSU Notes
The Kent State baseball team will take on Ohio State tonight in Columbus. The Golden Flashes are ranked 24th in the nation according to the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll while the Buckeyes are ranked 26th according to the National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association poll. The Flashes defeated Youngstown State yesterday 5-3. Fans can listen to the action tonight on the Kent State sports website with Ty Linder bringing you the action at around 6:20P.M.
According to Steve Hare at the Kent Sports Report, the men's basketball team is targeting Martino Brock, a wing from Maine Central Institute, a prep school in Maine. Brock attended the same high school as Jordan Mincy. Brock is visiting Kent State on April 25 then will visit Missouri on May 1. It has been reported that Mizzouri is his first choice, and if they should offer him while on his visit he will accept while in Columbia.
The Kent State soccer team has announced its schedule for the 2009 season today.
Sophomore gymnast Christina Lenny (Brecksville) placed sixth overall in the all-around with a score of 39.175 at the regional championships. She will compete at the National Championships at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln on Thursday and Friday. The Daily Kent Stater caught up with her here.
