KSU Notes
The Daily Kent Stater came out with their fall sports preview today. The football preview includes comments from Doug Martin, Eugene Jarvis and Brian Lainhart.
Yesterday Doug Martin introduced the four captains for the 2009 season. Offensively, senior Eugene Jarvis and sophomore Giorgio Morgan were named while defensively junior Cobrani Mixon and junior Brian Lainhart were named captains.
There has been a shakeup with the offensive line in recent practices. If the season started today the line would probably be Kent Cleveland at left tackle, Mike Fay at left guard, Chris Anzevino at center, Dante Campbell at right guard and freshman Brian Winters from Hudson at right tackle. The line got a nice addition when Anzevino returned from a foot injury recently.
The team is hoping a no-huddle offensive attack will help KSU dictate the tempo and the pace, and also help out young quarterback Morgan.
The Kent Stater also includes articles on the cross country teams, golf teams, field hockey, soccer and volleyball.
The softball program has announced their schedule for the 2010 season.
