MAC releases KSU 2013 football Schedule
Per a KSU news release - Kent State’s 2013 football schedule was announced Friday by the Mid-American Conference. The 12-game regular season includes five home contests at Dix Stadium, beginning with a Thursday night opener against Liberty (Aug. 29). The rest of the home slate features Bowling Green (Sept. 7), a MAC Championship game rematch with Northern Illinois (Oct. 5), Buffalo (Oct. 26) and a Wednesday night matchup with Miami (Nov. 13).
The battle with the RedHawks is the first of back-to-back weeknight MAC East games to be televised on either ESPN2 or ESPNU. On Tuesday, Nov. 19, the Golden Flashes will close out the regular season with a nationally televised game at Ohio.
The last four games will be MAC East tilts, including the battle for the Wagon Wheel at Akron (Nov. 2). The Flashes will be looking for a fourth consecutive victory against their archrival.
For the second time during the 2013 calendar year, Kent State will visit Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, this time taking on South Alabama. All game times are yet to be determined.

Kent State begins its spring practices on April 2, ending with the annual Spring Game on April 27 at 6 p.m. The team is also hosting a free youth football clinic prior to the game.
