Martin: Edelman will be drafted
Just got back form this year's spring game and Kent State coach Doug Martin had a few interesting tidbits on former quarterback Julian Edelman.
With so many teams now interested in Edelman, the buzz has put Edelman into a position where Martin believes he will be drafted, as opposed to a post draft free agent signing.
"I think that thing that happened was that everyone wanted him as a free agent. Then they all started realizing `if we don't draft him, we may not get him.' The demand has become so great So that is what moved him up,'' Martin said. ``He had that real fast shuttle run (too), which still might be the fastest one in the nation, last time I checked. So he has definitely helped himself.''
Martin said that "eight or nine" teams have worked out Edelman, as well as flown him out to them. He named the Chicago Bears, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars specifically.
``I know one thing,'' Martin said. ``If he gets into camp. They won’t be able to cut him. You know how he is. If he gets into camp they’ll fall in love him.’’
