Men's Basketball scheduling update
The Kent State men's basketball team should open up the season by hosting the Hispanic College Fund Classic during a weekend in mid November. The Golden Flashes will welcome in UAB, Samford and Wisconsin-Green Bay.
It's possible that KSU should round out the month of November by playing at Youngstown State and Morehead State, the return game of the thrilling BracketBuster game last year.
Geno Ford's squad should be making a trip to Xaxier in early December followed by trips to Pittsburgh and Robert Morris in mid December right before Christmas.
The Santa Clara Cable Car Classic will most likely be the last week in December with Kent State joining Wofford, Northeastern and host Santa Clara as participants.
The team is still looking to add one or two more games. The MAC Tournament will be March 10-March 14 in Cleveland with only eight teams going this year instead of 12 as announced yesterday. The first round games will be held at campus sites like they were from 2000-2006.
