Morgan impressing at QB
Dave Carducci from the Record Courier writes today how Giorgio Morgan has taken the lead in the battle for quarterback, and has looked impressive doing so. The Flashes will have their first full scrimmage on Saturday morning at 10A.M.
SOFTBALL
Ashlee Hein was named MAC East Player of the Week yesterday. Hein hit .462 for the week with 3 HR'S and 8 RBI. On the season Hein leads KSU with 4 HR and 13 RBI while helping lead Kent State to the top of the East Division with a 4-1 record. KSU will host Ohio tomorrow in a doubleheader and the Akron Zips on Saturday and Sunday.

Hamilton is Player of the Week
Senior Kim Hamilton was honored as the MAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Duke Track and Field Invitational on Saturday. Winning the women's javelin, her mark is good for first in the MAC and seventh in the nation. What's interesting about Hamilton was that it was her first collegiate track meet. She had been a standout center fielder for Karen Linder's softball squad the previous four years and played last summer with the Akron Racers.
Lenny qualifies for NCAA Championships
Sophomore gymnast Christina Lenny placed sixth in the all-around competition last weekend and will compete at the National Championships at the University of Nebraska on April 16-18. Lenny was also named the Kent State Athlete of the Week for her accomplishments.
