Three Kent State football players qualified for membership of the 2010 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society.
The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame honors college football players of all divisions of play who achieved a 3.2 cumulative GPA or better, acted as either a starter or significant substitute in one's last year of eligibility and met all NCAA-mandated progress towards degree requirements.
Defensive lineman Kevin Hogan, wide receiver Jameson Konz and linebacker Anthony Mirando qualified.
A total of 13 student-athletes from six schools were named on behalf of the Mid-American Conference. Bowling Green (1), Central Michigan (5), Kent State (3), Northern Illinois (1), Temple (2) and Western Michigan (1) were represented.
