Miami University hockey
Miami University is currently in a 1-1 tie with Boston University at the end of two periods in the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey National Championship game.
Miami's national semifinal appearance Thursday was the first of any sports team in university history.
Miami's hockey program is a member of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, not the Mid-American Conference, which does not actually have an ice hockey division. All other Miami University sports teams are part of the MAC, and Miami is still considered a MAC school. That being said, their appearance in the title game is great exposure for the program and conference as a whole.
Day 3 at Masters
Ben Curtis shot a two-over 74 at the Masters today to fall to 44th place.
Curtis started off on the wrong foot with a bogey on the first hole, but made up for it on the second with a birdie. He bogied the sixth, 10th and 11th, before birdieing the 14th. Curtis tees off at 10:45am in the third pairing tomorrow. He is 13 strokes back from leaders Angel Cabrera and Kenny Perry. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson are seven strokes back at -4.
